Hi Lisa,
A friend of mine in the Philippines has found a way to propagate petroleum nut tree(pittospurum resineferum) which is indigenous to our neck of the world. It wasn’t easy. After many years of trying and with the help of La Salle University, Philippines, he found a way to propagate the tree by using tissue culture technique. The nut contains fluid which is high in octane rating. It contains elements similar to gasoline components but far less of the destructive emissions. I have already ordered a number of seedlings of this particular tree to be planted in our spot in the hinterland for next year.
