No Impact Man: Movie, Book, Lifestyle

No Impact Man couldn’t have named himself more aptly. If you haven’t heard about this guy and his family, then get ready to get excited.

If you loved Super Size Me, then you are going to love this. No Impact Man is someone who decided to leave the smallest carbon footprint a human can achieve for an entire year. His family and he didn’t use electricity, fuel consuming vehicles, or individually packaged, processed, or out-of-season food. They were zero-waste, which includes not buying anything but food and eating everything they buy. Sound drastic? It is, but it was also an incredible journey that enriched their lives. No Impact Man: The Adventures of a Guilty Liberal Who Attempts to Save the Planet, and the Discoveries He Makes About Himself and Our Way of Life in the Process by Colin Beavan’s (No Impact Man himself) book came out yesterday, and the movie is set to release on September eleventh. If you want the book make sure to buy it from one of the stores at Indie Bound and part of the proceeds will go to the No Impact Project.
