There’s a battle heating up around GMO’s.
GMOs, as you may know, are Genetically Modified Organisms.
This includes seeds that are engineered to fight pesticides and weed killers.
By the way, the pollen made by these GMO plants is likely contributing (if not a primary factor) to declining bee populations.
Never mind… just buy the bee research company and falsify some research to your advantage… and crush anyone who may be able to show research that could harm you.
Basically, with GMOs, the seeds grow their own pesticides (or medicines, or red blood plasma).
There are many applications for GMOs.
And so someone asked us last week for more information on the scientific studies which have been done on GMOs.
Here’s the best study I’ve seen to date:

Here at GreenJoyment, we think that it’s safer to err on the side of caution… avoid genetically modified foods until you know what’s going on with them. But that’s difficult with so much soy lecithin and high fructose corn syrup in almost everything we eat.
GMOs have been shown in recent studies to increase obesity.
This is why we’re in the effort to label GMOs.
If people want to use GMOs, and eat GMOs, that’s fine.
However, I should have the opportunity to choose food that has, or hasn’t, been genetically modified, if I want.
So we are joining the movement (even though we are not in California) to help get a law passed in California which will require GMO foods sold in California to be labeled. If they can get this passed in California, then a true movement can take place to label GMOs across the United States. (Currently, GMO crops are overtaking populations of seeds
Is the effort to label GMO foods expensive? The organizes say no. I think yes. But…
Will it be worth it to preserve the greatest gift of humanity to future generations of humans (our cultivated seeds)? I think so.
Hope you’ll join us in the effort to label GMOs.

We Currently Eat Genetically Engineered Food, But Don’t Know It
A genetically engineered food is a plant or meat product that has had its DNA artificially altered in a laboratory by genes from other plants, animals, viruses, or bacteria in order to produce foreign compounds in that food. This type of genetic alteration is not found in nature and is experimental. The scientific term is “transgenics,” and is also often referred to as GMO, or Genetically Modified Organisms.
Example: Genetically Modified corn has been engineered in a laboratory to produce pesticides in its own tissue. GMO corn is regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency as an Insecticide, but is sold unlabeled. [EPA Pesticides]
The Health Risks of Genetically Engineered Foods Are UnclearUnlike the strict safety evaluations required for the approval of new drugs, the safety of genetically engineered foods for human consumption is not adequately tested.
There have been NO long-term studies conducted on the safety of genetically engineered foods on humans.
What do they know that we don’t?
I know I feel healthier eating produce in Europe than eating produce in America.
