With some of the strongest tidal currents and most powerful waves in the world just off the coast, it is no wonder that Scotland is looking to develop wave and tidal power. As such, two tidal energy and two wave power developers are currently competing for Scotland’s £10 million Saltire Prize, which aims to draw international attention to the benefits of clean energy.
When bridal showers, birthdays and celebrations of all sorts roll around, there’s nothing that says “Let’s Celebrate (in style)” like Black & White cake. And, this regal dessert, as I discovered quite by accident, has many forms and flavors.
Much of it has to do with the fact that Millennials are broke and under-employed. But I think there really is a change going on here, and I don’t think it is limited to millennials. So-called middle class people in every generation are pretty much in the same boat and are doing the same thing, and much of the change has to do with technology.
Construction on an “IKEA town”, a vehicle-free all-rental private neighborhood run by Ikea, is set to start next year.
Like Americans, British consumers talk a good game about buying electric vehicles. We’ll see if they make good on it.
Chances are you are environmentally responsible to one degree or another. You recycle your trash, purchase energy efficient light bulbs, and buy natural cleaning supplies, all with the goal of leaving the world a better place for our children. But one way to make a big impact that you might have overlooked is by encouraging your children to lead eco-friendly lives.
